Do you have a recent article or book on women, peace and security that you like to recommend?
What websites or other resources do you point newcomers to WPS towards?
Here are some of our favourites:
- WPS National Action Plans
- Facts and figures: Women, peace, and security
- Reciprocal institutional visibility: Youth, peace and security and ‘inclusive’ agendas at the United Nations
Can I say 2? I am still a big fan of Bananas, Beaches and Bases by Cynthia Enloe. It’s a classic. And more recently, I’ve enjoyed The First Political Order: How Sex Shapes Governance and National Security Worldwide by Valerie M. Hudson, Donna Lee Bowen and Perpetual Lynne Nielson.
But there is so much good stuff out there!
I have fount the Research Network on Women, Peace and Security annotated bibliographies very helpful as a new researcher and learner in the field.
